I spent Easter weekend with two lovely fellow creatives, Sharon Kearley and Boris Allenou. We were in Andover at the town's museums meeting visitors and discussing natural dyes, Anglo-Saxon looms and memories of the town's recent history when many people resettled there from London.
I set up my dye pans and laid out examples of plants that would have created colours in the iron-age - woad, weld and madder and also had some dried flax to show. We all had some great conversations spanning colour in archaeology through to craft as meditation and all things in between.
About 300 people came through the doors over the 2 days and chatted, weaved and recorded their own memories resulting in a newly created sound recording, recreation Saxon loom and a weaving.
