Please join me on Sunday August 24th in Fordingbridge in the New Forest for a day of silk scarf dyeing. (Lifts from the train station available )
You will be shown how to mordant the scarf before making up some dye pans and playing with making patter
Lampshade love . I do understand the concept of minimalism , and ultimately respect it and its’ calm, but then I buy a dog lamp base and it all goes to pot 😅

These lampshades were commissioned by a customer for their new home and I a
Iron on dock.
“Say what you see..”

This is a variation on a block from last year which was a design from an book of architectural plans. I love the language and pattern it creates with the inconsistency of the paste and my hand’s p
I was at the dye garden and the woad plants had been providing a wonderful meal for the cabbage white butterflies , but luckily there was enough left for me 💙💙
This is a vintage linen tablecloth which will be the back of a quilt and if there is any
Blue wool knots on a hand dyed and printed quilt. All the colours are ones I have made from plants which I have grown or foraged near my home. 
The blanket forming the middle of the quilt sandwich is a vintage wool boiled one.
Nothing is wasted. Ever
Oak halls from my parent’s oak tree. 
They are so generous with their gift of tannin and colour in my dyeing.
